HOLIDAY BLOG HOP ENTRY

Well, as stated in my previous post, I ended up "scrapping" 3 other projects, before finding just one that I was happy with, so that being said, I have to add that although it is not what one might consider a "traditional" Christmeas piece, it is very personal to me.

This Christmas for the very first time in my life, I am living thousands of miles away from what I always called home, now aside for the obvious that I will miss the most, MY FAMILY, there is just one thing that I love to see at Christmas time, and that is snow, Yep I said it, snow. This year with the expensive move across country depleting our funds, getting "home" for the holidays is quite unlikely, the other thing that is unlikely? Snow in here in Tampa, lol, so without further adu' here is is, my Christmas wish, "Let It Snow".

I used a12x12 stretched canvas as the base, several Canvas Corp pieces, and many other accessories, the best accessories of all, my Want 2 Scrap Bling, they were absolutely perfect for my snowy Christmas theme!

Thank You Angie Holt for this opportunity, and Thank You Want 2 Scrap! http://want2scrap.com/store/

  4. Hi Michelle! I'm in FL too, but about 4 hours south & 1 hour east of you, lol! I'm in the greater Ft. Lauderdale area and I would like to say welcome to the sunshine state! Unfortunately the chances of your Christmas wish for snow in FL is slim to none, but they have been known to get chilly temps up by you & sometimes a little "frost" if a real cold front comes our way. My sister lives up your way in St. Pete & I luv the beaches up there! Enough about me though, this wintery canvas you made is just lovely! I really like the use of the corrugated cardboard w/the vintage lace and jewelry details. Soooo pretty! FABULOUS job!! : )

  5. Thank You Jamie for your kindness and sharing with me that we are sort of neighbors, lol. My husband and I have always vacationed around the lovely state of Florida, we have been west coast, east coast, the Keys and everwhere in between, so we have actually visited Ft. Lauderdale, and I must agree with you, we do love the west coast beaches. And thanks for your kind words on my " holiday hop" project, thought I might have went a bit overboard but I truly was pleased with the end result. And as far as the snow goes, being Ohio born and raised, cold temps and snow was kind of a staple in getting into the spirit of the season, but I think I can deal without it,lol, just have to remind myself that afterall it is November.
Be blessed and Happy Holidays to you!
