Whimsical Card Made With The Fantastic Magical Theater

Hello there creatives!
Welcome to INSPIRE!

Today I want to share with you, a fun & whimsical
invitation I made using designs from the
"Magical Theater Book" by Rita Barakat.

I LOVE  Alice in Wonderland, so it's only natural that I chose the "Tea Party" theme colorable background as my base.
I also decided chose to use the colorable "Princess" paper doll, so that I could customize my doll to the "Tea Party" theme by dressing her in the "Tea Party" pre-designed clothes.

In the book, Rita demonstrates how to make the paper dolls with movable arms & legs,
and I followed her instructions in constructing my doll. I was unable to find flesh colored brads
locally, so I used a flesh tone paint marker to color my white brads to match the flesh tone of my doll.

For coloring the back ground, I used both my Jane Davenport Magic Wand colored pencils, and some of my Faber-Castell Aqua pencils. I also added some Plaid Glitterific medium in coordinating colors to the pencils, to add some flair to the design.

The only embellishments I used were a couple of flowers with rhinestone centers that complemented
my doll's dress, and some colorful twine. creating a bow at the top of the card.

I also stamped a harlequin design & heart onto the paper dolls dress.

Putting it all together, I used double sided tape & double sided foam squares, which worked perfectly in the overall card design.

I forgot how fun it is to be creative with paper dolls, this was a blast to make!
