Beautiful Tag Of "Reflections" Full Of Texture And Vibrant Color

Hello there creatives!
Welcome to INSPIRE!

My latest project for the Rita Barakat Design Team
features the "Reflections" stamp from the
Rita Barakat Collection by Technique Junkies.

For this project, I chose to use a window tag from my stash,
as a layer to a regular tag, textured with embossing ink along with clear embossing powder to create a type of resist for the colors that I would be adding to the tag.

Looking to add vibrant color, I used Distress Oxide Inks by Tim Holtz for Ranger, as well as for the versatility of it's use. I texture embossed the window tag using an embossing folder along with my Sizzix Big Kick, and used Distress Oxide Inks on it to add color.

After stamping  the "Reflections" image using archival ink onto watercolor paper I used my Faber-Castell Aqua pencils to color in the image. Resulting in nice soft reflective color.

I wanted the ribbon embellishment to match the colors on the tag, so I chose white seam binding ribbon, and used the Distress Oxide Inks along with water, dipping the ribbon
to add the color and set by using my heat tool.

The word embellishments I chose to use were also by
Tim Holtz. I used the word HOME &
OBJET TROUVE' (an object found that is considered aesthetically pleasing).

My flower embellishments I created using Rita Barakat's Magical Mysteries Embossing Powder in "Kiss of the Fairy", along with a stamped flower image using embossing ink and my heat tool to set.

I used double sided tape and double sided foam squares to put it all together in layers.

This tag that looks as if the image is in a reflective mode, of all that surrounds her, as she peers from a window.
