A Colorful Mad Hatter Paper Teacup How To

Hello Creatives!
Welcome to INSPIRE & the
Rita Barakat Designs & Marvy Blog Hop!

The product showcase today, is the fun
and GORGEOUSLY colored Bistro Chalk Markers by Marvy.

For my project, I chose to use the Mad Hatter Die Cut
from Rita's Fairytale Collection, available at her Etsy Store,
along with the Chalk Markers, to create this bright & beautiful project, a paper teacup.

I first used my Cricut machine, to cut a paper tea cup design. Using double sided tape, along with a glue, I assembled the tea cup layers.

I then cut "panels", from Chalkboard Cardstock fromCanvas Corp Brands, to be added to the teacup after decorating with Marvy Chalk Markers.

I decided to use a variety of small floral & other designed stamps for the decorating of the "panels".
Instead of using ink pads, I used the Marvy Chalk Markers to color each stamp, and then stamped upon the surface of each "panel".
I also used the Chalk Markers directly to enhance etched stamped image.

Following the same design concept as the panels, I also created a "sign" with one of the most famous quotes from Alice In Wonderland~We're All Mad Here.

Once the stamped "panels" had dried, I added them to the teacup, using glue. I had also stamped the teacup base to match the panels, and added dots of with the Chalk Markers  before adhering the handle to the teacup.

For the flower garden inside the cup, I used a styrofoam ball as the base, followed by a variety of paper flowers.

The final touches was adding the sign and the ADORABLE
Rita Barakat Mad Hatter Die Cut.

A bright and beautiful project, that would be a perfect pick me up to give as a gift, and all made possible by
