Hello
Everyone!
Thank you
for visiting INSPIRE.
I have to
say I was quite excited to learn that this month’s theme for The Robin's Nest
Design Team was "Oh So Scary".
From the
very first time I laid my eyes upon the "Spiderweb Glitter
Cardstock", I knew I had to create something "SPOOKTACULAR".
For this
project I used the following supplies:

Box Feet
I began my
project building a 5x4 ½ inch block from sturdy cardboard, to showcase the full
spiderweb design of the cardstock, assembling each piece together with heavy
duty duct tape.
In staying
with the spooky theme, I used my die-cut machine to cut red & black
cardstocks to cut a grand style window, spiders, bats, black cat, and even a
"drippy" blood design to overlap the top of the box.
I further
added definition to the "dripping" with Distress Ink and clear
embossing powder, heat set. For the remaining elements, I used DecoArt Media
Matte Medium, on the top portions of the bats, cat & spiders, to set a
sprinkle of black glitter.
I wanted to add more definition to the
spiderwebs, so I added Dew Drops to the web design. I also used Tear Drops in
red to add interest to the candles of the candelabra, and Diamond Dew Drops in
black and white, to the window design.
Both the
skull and brain decorative elements, I formed using paperclay. The haunting image in the
frame I found on Pinterest.
For the
final touches, I used cheesecloth, handmade paper & mini silk flowers, and
what good is a haunted house without a ghost? I used The Robin's Nest Friendly
Ghost Little Friend, as if he were floating just outside the window.
I had so
much fun creating this project, and it is the very first time I incorporated
such a variety of TRN's Dew Drops shapes and colors.
